Contraception Service

Here at Sure Start we now offer a "walk in" contraception service

with no appointment necessary.

We offer Safer Sex advice, including provision of free condoms.

Over 25's just need to be registered for the service with help from one of our trained members of staff.

If you're under 25, you will be given a Brook C-Card key fob, which you can then use at any contraception centre or surgery distribution point, without needing to keep registering.

The "Walk On In" C-card (Condom card) is a scheme that offers all young people under 25 free condoms from lots of different places. Once you have completed the initial registration, a membership number is put on your card, which is used when you access any distribution point. All they need to do, is take down the number. You do not need to give any further personal information.

We also offer Chlamydia Screening, as part of the national programme.

www.brook.org.uk is the website of Brook Advisory Centres which provide services, advice and information for young people under 25.

The website has lots of information about sexual health, including ‘Your Rights', ‘Sex A-Z' and many more, and is specifically focused on young people. It also gives you information on all of the different Brook Clinics if you need to go for a check up, and they also have a confidential helpline that you can call.
