Drugs Awareness Talks

Many residents have said that they would like to find out more about the problem of drug misuse.

In response to that request we have organised a number of talks which will increase people's awareness of some of the effects of drug misuse.

The talks will cover issues such as:

• Gain an understanding of major drug groups
• Learn about the effects and risks of the most commonly used substances.
• What do drugs look like?
• What is the current legal situation, including recent and proposed changes to the law?
• Common attitudes and beliefs towards drugs.
• What are the myths and misconceptions?
• Where to go for help and support.
