Sure Start Children's Centre, Friar Park, Mesty Croft & Woods

Awarded Matrix and PQASSO standard of excellence

 

The Children’s Centre is now accredited to the Matrix Standard for the Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) services we deliver. We were assessed against eight standards and excelled in all of them. This means that the high quality of our work in this area is recognized nationally. This will be invaluable to us in many ways, for example when applying for funding, tendering for services in the future and attracting the best partners to work with us. The certificate and plaque will be on display in reception shortly.  Some of the strengths that were highlighted on the assessment were:

• We have wide variety of methods in place to promote our services.
• Clients have access to excellent facilities
• We have an effective business planning and evaluation process
• Our  strong team commitment to continuous improvement and to delivering  a good service. All clients and partners spoken with during the Assessment gave over whelming praise for staff and the quality of service they are receiving.
• Excellent links and relationships with external agencies and organisations.
• New staff receive good support and an effective induction with the benefit of both a PCT induction and Children’s Centre induction
• The communication channels within the organisation are numerous and staff are encouraged to be involved in all of them
• We have in place mechanisms to ensure that staff are regularly reviewed and performance and training are discussed
• We have a variety of mechanisms to obtain feedback from clients.
